This page is administered by OCV facilitators and working group point people. If you want to post something, you need to be an administrator or send an email message to a facilitator/working group point person. If you want to comment on something, just fill out the form at the bottom of the post. Your first comment has to be approved by an administrator, and then you’ll be able to comment freely.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an open forum. Open dialogue is encouraged, but “playground rules” apply (personal attacks and divisive tactics are discouraged). Also, group self-moderation is encouraged. we discourage personal attack and divisive tactics, because we get that too much, because we are the 99%.
Thanks!

Look under Settings >Discussion (all the way at the bottom on the left) to set whether comments must be approved by an administrator each time or whether comments will appear automatically once a commenter has had one approved.
The WordPress platform is great for a lot of things but is predicated on an author putting stuff up and other people commenting on that stuff. You can add people as administrators, contributors, editors authors etc (all roles have different privileges)and have a multi-user blog but if you want discussions where all are on an equal footing a forum would probably be a better bet for you. Or you could have a forum for discussion linked inside the blog.
I have extensive experience with WordPress, installing, administering and using including multi-site installations. Would really like to be of assistance to #occupy. I am a sysadmin/computer consultant by trade. You don’t have to approve my comment, I just would like to offer help if you’d like it – my strength is in user training – teaching.
I am working full time at the moment – temp job at Dartmouth so can’t occupy and have bad hips so can’t march. But tech stuff I can do, also write. You can check me out at

I’m going to try to make it up to Montpelier this coming Saturday. Hope to connect

I just got a spam message from new member TINA123. Is there any way to prevent this kind of spamming from within this group?
