From Carl Etnier, via Jessica:

Just wanted to let you know that Rob Roper and I will be guests on each others’ shows on WDEV on Monday, with the theme of Occupy Wall Street. Apparently he’s been quite critical of the movement. The shows will be happening, Monday, 11/21, 11 am to noon (rob’s show) and 1 – 2 pm (carl’s show). They’re both call-in shows, so comments from listeners are welcomed. The call-in numbers are 244-1777 or toll-free 877-291-8255.

Feed the Movement

11/07/2011 in Burlington Occupation, Media / Press

I recognize at least one Vermont farmer interviewed for this video:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fA7IaROkcU4&feature=share]

Feed the Movement is a grassroots effort to supply fresh produce from our region’s small farms to the kitchens of the ongoing Occupy movements.

These are some of the farmers from Vermont who have been donating their produce to the Occupy movement.

Occupy Wall Street Hits VT on VPR’s VT Edition

11/05/2011 in Media / Press

The link to the audio stream is here: http://www.vpr.net/episode/52203/

By Jane Lindholm, Produced by Ric Cengeri
Thursday, 10/13/11 Noon and 7pm

Occupy Wall Street rallies have spread across the country and into Vermont. This past week saw events in downtown Burlington and on the UVM campus. More are planned for Brattleboro, Montpelier, Middlebury and Rutland.

Middlebury College professor Jamie McCallum, Heather Pipino of the Vermont Workers’ Center and Steve Greene, an organizer of the Upper Valley Tea Party, look at what’s fueling the movement, its goals and at how other populist campaigns have grown in the past.

Also on the program, VTrans’ Kevin Marshia and Shayne Jaquith of the Agency of Natural Resources explain how the two agencies are working together in assessing the road repairs and river adjustments that have been made since Tropical Storm Irene struck Vermont.

Please Review this Vid! It’s Awesome & Explains A Lot!
