We talked about this in out GA today, here is a link to a short video that documents the unfolding of events that lead to the Occupy Burlington group being invited into City Hall and then locked out of the park while in there. We were joined by a member of the Burlington group today and had an interesting discussion of what happened within the group during the unfolding. Look for more information in the GA notes which will be posted soon.

I recognize at least one Vermont farmer interviewed for this video:

Feed the Movement is a grassroots effort to supply fresh produce from our region’s small farms to the kitchens of the ongoing Occupy movements.

These are some of the farmers from Vermont who have been donating their produce to the Occupy movement.

Burlington Solidarity – HELP NEEDED!

11/06/2011 in Burlington Occupation, Solidarity Actions!

Word from Occupy Burlington representative, Emma, says folks in Btown, though strong and resilient are getting cold and tired. They can use:

  • blankets,
  • tarps,
  • tents,
  • more folks (esp. women cause presence is overwhelmingly male) to help rotate others out to rest.

Can fit three in car this tuesday when going to Btown for a curriculum project up the hill, if anyone wants a ride. Can also fit supplies so if anyone has goods to donate and would like them brought there: call 839-8286 by tuesday at noon and leave a message. Can pick folks and gear up in Montpelier on way out of town early afternoon Tuesday (at 2 pm).

Also, Brian goes to Burlington every Wed. Message him if you want to go up and visit, support, or camp with the Burlington Occupation. briant[at]pshift.com
